TG Gondard (NNF / brussels, france)
First known as "TG" and active in the french underground since the late 90's on labels such as Les Potagers Natures, Tanzprocesz or Galerie Pache,
Thibault Gondard has explored many musical worlds, through his own melancholic lo-fi filter.
Relocated in Brussels in 2009 and now releasing music under the name "TG Gondard",
his current output can be seen as an urban post-R'n'B world full of dirty samples and syncopated beats.
His debut, "Avontuur" was released on Not Not Fun, and its follower is a tape album of french electronic songs entitled "bye-bye waterloo".
"Oozing, lo-fi electronics for weirdos just about sums up the sound of NNF's latest recruit,
one Thibault Gondard from Belgium. Much like his native brethren Innercity, he shares a love of battered hardware and cleverly tempered distortion,
but there's something stranger, more uncategorised about his sound, veering from murked-out and synthy bashment-psych on 'Avontuur' to the lurching RPG enigma of 'Ivry' a
nd head-drift kosmiche R&B with 'Ilsée' or blown-out Sun Araw-style dub wreckage on 'The Fears'. Definitely one to watch, this guy." Boomkat
"Not Not Fun, silky smooth as they are, recently struck upon some seedy dance-floor gold with the new Avontuur cassette from Belgian beatmaker TG Gondard.
Blown-out, seductively woozy, and pitch-shifted into oblivion, TG’s after-hours burners will appeal to anyone aching for some fresh Hype Williams material." boy's attraction

Bear Bones, Lay Low (K-raa-k/ VE/BE)
Hailing from Venezuela, now based in Belgium, Ernesto González makes music as Bear Bones, Lay Low. Active since a teenager in the Belgian noise underground, González’s music has evolved from spontaneous bedroom noise/drone explorations to colorfully psychedelic electronic music where analog synthesis meets fuzzed-out guitar freak outs and entrancing rhythms. He has also been part of psychedelic jam band Sylvester Anfang II since 2006 and is part of numerous musical projects including the drone duo González & Steenkiste (with Sylvester Anfang II bandmate Hellvete) and Sayona, a freeform dark electronics collaboration with Shazzula of Black Mass Rising and formerly of psych head bangers Aqua Nebula Oscillator. Bear Bones, Lay Low has released music in various formats and labels such as Gipsy Sphix, Young Girls Records, Sloow Tapes, Cabin Floor Esoterica, Lovecult’s Full Of Nothing Records and KRAAK, who released his latest LP « El Telonero » in 2012.
« Immediately I thought Ghost Box with it’s vintage nostalgic sounds but that could be cos the music is constructed with analog synths and old drum machines. It’s playful, dark and most improtantly a bit bonkers. There’s some amazing sounds on here and I can’t but help think of some of Bruce Haack’s earlier work. ‘Persona’ has a tropical vibe with wonky phased guitars that make me think of a more rhythmical Sun Araw. It’s part cosmic, part nostalgic, part psychedelic and a bit nuts. The combination of guitars and vintage electronics works brilliantly and I really can’t recommend this enough! » Norman Records on « El Telonero »
